harpergroup
I realize it's old news by now, having been released to the NY Times yesterday, but Adrian Danchig-Waring has been promoted to Soloist - FINALLY. Though the NYCB page hadn't been updated by yesterday afternoon, it IS updated now, on both the roster listing and Adrian's own page. I for one have thoroughly enjoyed watching his career develop over the past several years and hope we get to see more of this fine dancer for many seasons to come. Well done! And ... my husband and I were tickled to see that his promotion (accompanied by a very nice picture) popped up in the "Highbrow & Brilliant" quadrant of New York Magazine's Approval Matrix. (Dunkin' Donuts' waffle-bacon-and-egg sandwich scored big in the "Lowbrow & Brilliant" quadrant, in case you're interested.) Link to comment
miliosr
http://nymag.com/arts/all/approvalmatrix/57429/ Someone's really in love w/ Adrian Danchig-Waring at New York Magazine. He's made the approval matrix again (see upper right corner.) Link to comment
carbro
Since that person specifically cited A D-W's pdd from In G Major with Rebecca Krohn from Dancer's Choice benefit, I don't think a love affair is necessarily implied. It was a magnificent performance. Thanks for linking to the page, miliosr. Link to comment
