carbro
Tucked away in NYCB's May Playbill* is an "Oh, by the way . . . " mention that Tom Gold will retire with the last performance of "Double Feature," May 22, after 22 years with the company. The single paragraph notes that he has danced the role of Jimmy Shannon (choreo'ed on him) at every performance of the ballet, which must make him ballet's Cal Ripken, Jr. Double Feature introduced us to a Tom Gold we hadn't seen before. It was a great, unique opportunity for him. I just wish he'd been given more. *not available online. Link to comment
