volcanohunter
Admittedly, many of these are already available on DVD in some form or other, but Kultur is releasing a bunch of stuff on June 24. James
They always list the DVD release date, never the date of the performance, which would be much more informative !!! Link to comment
Natalia
Thanks for the notice, which is especially good for new collectors who did not purchases the VHSs back in the 1980s and 90s. ALL of these are 'oldie goldies' which have existed on VHS and/or DVD for years. I sure wish that Kultur would release new ballet films in the USA -- either vintage performances or brand-new material -- like TDK and other companies are currently doing. For example, even the most jaded collector can be thrilled by the just-released Bolshoi Romeo & Juliet with Maximova/Vasiliev; for the first time ever in America, a commercial record of the FULL ballet -- all 155 minutes, including the Trovadour/Juliet's Best Friend portions.
