Amy Reusch Posted March 29, 2008 Share Posted March 29, 2008 I'm a little surprised at Jennifer Dunning: The evening opened with a fascinating account of “Appalachian Spring,” Graham’s 1944 evocation of awakening spring in frontier America and the pioneers who experience it. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/28/arts/dan....html?ref=danceI too hear spring awakening, but understood the reference was actually to water bubbling up, not a season... or did Graham stretch the metaphor around to cover all interpretations?
