ToThePointe
Does anyone know of any pieces of music that are palindromes. I would like to create a piece that is one but need to find the music to do so. Link to comment
scherzo
Haydn's Symphony No. 47 contains a palindromic Minuet & Trio movement. The only other palindromic piece that I can think of is in Lulu by Alban Berg... Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Bach has many palindromic moments in his compositions, but I can't really think of many more (with the exception of the Haydn) until the serial music period. The problem is, the compositions that have the palindromes are surrounded, usually inseparably, from the other parts of the work around them. Link to comment
ToThePointe
Thank you for your responses. It is an idea I've had for awhile and I knew I could count on Ballet Talk for insight. Link to comment
