vipa
Sarah Lane is an ABT corps dancer who I particularly like. She even did Theme & Variations with ABT in New York once. She was listed in the Times ABT ad as being in the Sinatra Suite a couple of times in the upcoming season. Just as I was about to buy my ticket I noticed that she is no longer listed for it. In fact there are no women listed now for any performance of Sinatra Suite. Anyone know if she is injured? Link to comment
Helene
If there is an official news source with Ms. Lane's status, we'll be sure to cite it and publish it to the site. Link to comment
drb
That splendid (and very generous) ballet photographer Gene Schiavone has just posted two brand new photos of Sarah Lane. She looks more than healthy dancing Twyla Tharp and stunningly beautiful in a portrait. They may be found under individual dancers on his site: http://geneschiavone.com/ Link to comment
SanderO
This may be OT but... Thanks for that link... Gene's work is wonderful and it is informative to be able to see a dancer who we may not be familiar with. Is there is thread about dance photography? I would be interested to learn how these dance photographers "work" and explore some other photgrapher's vision of ballet. Since dance is movement through time.. when one freezes a moment in a still photograph it can be amazingly powerful and "pregnant" conveying all the "joy" of movement. Link to comment
