bart
Yesterday, Cliff posted the following Llink to an excellent Chicago Tribune article that helps Chicago audiences prepare for the arrival of NYCB. http://www.chicagotribune.com/features/art...1,4429851.story One piece of news is that Maria Tallchief will be honored at the opening night. She is quoted as saying: No one is better than George Balanchine, who was music personified. The people who carry on his tradition are the most important people in the world. A separate section also includes information on, and quotes from, Bouder, Evans, Kowroski Askegard, Whelan, and Hubbe. It even tells you how to pronounce Hubbe ("HEW-ba"). Edited to add: Dale has opened a separate thread for the discussion of this article. It's HERE: http://ballettalk.invisionzone.com/index.p...topic=23418&hl= Link to comment
