Leigh Witchel
Not that I don't love Bouder, but don't you think that Violette Verdy might have also done the part the way it was supposed to look a couple of times in her career? Link to comment
drb
Not that I don't love Bouder, but don't you think that Violette Verdy might have also done the part the way it was supposed to look a couple of times in her career? Well......, maybe(!). I had in mind a much debated dvd/telecast. But your remark suggests a dream calendar: Balanchine: Greatest Performances. Although that would have to be a weekly, rather than monthly, and would be half Suzanne Farrell. For starters: Easter week, Suzanne's Preghiera. For Christmas week, Tess Reichlen's Sugarplum leap from last December 13th's Times, still free on line: http://www.nytimes.com/2005/12/13/arts/dan...96626be&ei=5070 Link to comment
