Dale
According to the Bolshoi, The Bolt (Shostakovich/Ratmansky) will be filmed by French TV and eventually released by Bel Air Media (the same company that released Pharoah's Daughter). http://www.bolshoi.ru/en/season/press-offi...ex.php?id26=480 Link to comment
drb
They also say it will be broadcast on Arte September 24. All three listed casts in September are the same. Two dancers familiar from last summer's Met Bolshoi season are Anastasia Yatsenko as the Komsomol organizer and Natalia Osipova who will play a typist, a swimmer, and "Manka Fart." This last name seems intentional, not a bit of transliteration bad luck, since there are also characters named "Fermented Dough", "Beer" and "Corkscrew" as well. Former Mariinsky star Andrei Merkuriev also is listed. It is a little strange that they'd record The Bolt before Ratmansky's megahit The Bright Stream. Link to comment
rg
i'm not sure under what auspices but BRIGHT STREAM was already filmed and broadcast on russia's KULTURA channel. i understand it will be released eventually on DVD, along with BOLT, this according to ratmansky himself. Link to comment

drb
According to the Bolshoi, The Bolt dvd has been released in France. (This was an incidental remark in the announcement of Alexei Ratmansky's winning the Shostakovich Prize, to be presented at a performance of Bright Spring next month, the first choreographer to win that award.)
