Nora Posted January 9, 2006 Share Posted January 9, 2006 Miliosr's account of Kisselgoff's review that chastised Fonteyn for substituting walking for dancing reminds me of how Fonteyn characterized her performances at the end of her career. She said something like, "I don't so much dance as I appear." I guess she might have been "miscast" in a lot of ballets by then!! Link to comment
