Dansuer85
I'm kind of sad we are seeing Herrera twice, she's not my favorite. While I'm glad Lane is getting the chance, I was really hoping to see Wiles in this. I'm very excited to see both workwithinwork and Sinfonietta! Link to comment
cargill
Did anyone get to see Sarah Lane? The few times I have seen her featured in the ABT Studio company, I was remendously impressed with her poise as well as her technique, and I would love to know how she did. Link to comment
nysusan
C'mon - someone must have seen Lane & Cornejo in Theme & Variations. They're not scheduled to dance it in NY so we're relying on reports from KC! Link to comment
Dansuer85
I did see them! Im gonna try today, maybe tomorrow to put a review under the ABT in KC thread! Link to comment
Fraildove
i see on the met website that ms. lane is scheduled to dance myrta in Giselle this season. Quite an undertaking. i hope someone will post on her 'debut' (i am not sure if she has danced this role before, i dont seem to remember her doing so). Best wishes ms. lane! Link to comment
Dansuer85
I do not see where it says she will be doing the part of 'Myrtha'. She will be making her MET debut in the lead ballerina role of Theme and Variations, which she did on tour in Kansas City. Link to comment

carbro
Both ABT.org and the printed cast calendar distributed at the Met show Abrera dancing Myrtha for those performances. I would be very surprised if ABT ever cast Sarah Lane as Myrtha, because they always cast taller dancers in that role, and Sarah definitely isn't in that category! Link to comment
GeorgeB fan
Does anyone think that ABT is pushing Sarah Lane along so Herman Cornejo will have his own ballerina to perform with. She's a very promising and talented dancer - and she is also very small. Just wondering. Link to comment

Apparently, from some early reviews, they did very well. In the Met website, Herman is cast w/ Misty Copeland in Le Corsaire. Joe Link to comment
carbro
This thread has been about the Kansas City performance. I'm going to close it, so if you want to reply about the NYC performances, please go to the thread for the Tchaikovsky program. Thank you. Link to comment
