We recently saw Semyonova with Malakhov, on the annual Vienna New Year 2005 telecast: 2005-01-11 18:13 * GERMANY * RUSSIA * BALLERINA * AWARD * RUSSIAN BALLERINA POLINA SEMENOVA AWARDED DAPHNE PRIZE BERLIN, January 11 (RIA Novosti's Taras Lariokhin) - Russian Polina Semenova, the prima ballerina of the State Berlin Ballet, has been awarded the Daphne prize. The union of Berlin theatre lovers has since 1976 been giving this prize, named after a heroine of the Greek mythology, to debutants and debutantes of metropolitan stages for outstanding creative achievements. The 20-year-old Semenova finished the Moscow ballet school of the Bolshoi and has already received prestigious prizes at international contests in Russia and Japan. Link to comment
jorgen Posted January 18, 2005 Share Posted January 18, 2005 Polina Semionova is really a wonderful ballerina. I have only seen her in Malakhov's Cinderella that was broadcasted on German TV last year. You cannot avoid falling in love with her! Link to comment
