Good news How lovely and exiting for her!!!! Can I ask what are your views on the second cast of Anders Nordstrom/ Sarah Medley Anna Valev/ Jan-Erik Wikstrom(the rsb prince expert) I have seen both casts, both excellent- but with different interpretation. Having read all the postive reviews (with one exception you can not please everyone) The nummer.se gave the performance of the 5 juni (the above cast) 4 stars out of five. ( Please forgive may swedish translation it is a bit rusty) " The most artistic and technically strong performances I have seen on the stage of the Kungliga operan for a long time" All this is very good news for the Royal Swedish Ballet. I am going for the last night 14 Juni 3rd time ( a first for me)

Hej Vissi d' arte Well here is my opinion of the Cendrillon performance of the 31st May. I loved it, and from the reaction of most the the people around me there was a buzz in the audience. The casting was good, and the dancers were having a great time. Sarah Medley was outstanding as the good fairy, from the begining , to the end I totally believed in her. It was announced that she is to join Monte Carlö Ballet next season. What a loss for the RSB This versatile dancer will be hard to replace, but deserves to be seen on the world stage.

As I said above, I have booked tickets for the 31May. Having seen Les ballet de Monte Carlo perform Cendrillon, the impression was a sophisticated and thought provoking interpretation, on the edge of contempory but firm in a solid classical technique. Maillot allows the characters the freedom to lead and understand the roles.

Cendrillon Koreografi Jean-Christophe Maillot 30thMay Fairy Godmother danced by Nadia Sellrup the Father danced by Nikolaus Fotiadis 31stMay danced by Sarah Medley and Anders Nordstrom. The production is very lavish and full of humour. I saw Sarah Medley dance the role of Isolde in the ballet Tristan with Sebastian Michanek as Tristan, I must say I was totally impressed by her, she was mesmerizing. I've booked and can't wait to see her dance in Cendrillon.

Johannes Ohman is in his late thirties and will be taking on 6 new dancers for next season.
