beware: they use dynamic pricing, as of now, they bumped the cheapest pricing from $50 to $65 on Sat 7:30 and Sund 2pm. And i bet they keep the front orchestra for pricing and selling later. There are still $50 tickets available on Friday and Sat 2pm. All the best to all.

HI, i just checked the announced pricing - holly commonly, the lowest price being $59; in my over 15 years traveling to Kennedy for ballet, i've never seen such a jump in the LOWEST (entry) level pricing. I would have expected it from the Ardani engagement. I might write something to Kennedy about it.
I'm not pointing out the upper limit, just the lowest pricing, it used to be more affordable. -

But the eighteen year-old Maria Khoreva’s is perhaps equally lovely. For her age it’s quite remarkable. This is one, of many, very good reasons, in my mind, as to why she was promoted to First Soloist, one rank below the highest, just into her second year.
just my humble observation/opinion. M. Khoreva is missing a traditional Vaganova/Mariinsky upper body softness, fluidity, flexibility, and opulence. She's super flexible in the chest down, but not in the typical lyrical so soft upper body. She moves kinda rigidly there. She didn't have that "shortness" in videos in her school years. just my 2 cents

Happy for Andrey Ermakov, FINALLY ;-)) well (long past-due) deserved.

Great news, Thank you for sharing. however, for me personally a lot depends on the casting. I can't stand another iteration of "girlish" portrayals of M.Khoreva and/or M.Nagahisa. Brought they “mature” ballerinas for the role, then it’s totally justifiable to hop on a cross-country flight.

Casting changes ;-(( No Tereshkina, Khoreva replaces her performances, Ekaterina Chebykina will be replacing Khoreva. Sad that i will not see Tereshkina. I'm not a big fan of Chebykina ;-((

Saw it yesterday, M.Gomes with Ashley Shaw. Ashley is very soft and elastic in her movements, and her upper body movement slightly resembled me the Russian style. Bearing in mind that, as nysusan wrote, they are not a ballet company, I found them extraordinary for that. Dancers and choreography were very musical, fluid, fast, filled with nuances, steps and action to the fullest (but avoiding jittery moves common for some contemporary staging). Loved his innovative design and utilization of the curtains, and fast movement (but again, not jittery). At the curtain call I was amazed that the company only had 16-18 dancers all together on the stage, it felt as if there were more of them. Had tickets for 2 shows, glad that I did, as I am definitely will see it again, Great dance creation

Uliana Lopatkina danced an excerpt from it with Vladimir Shklyarov at BAM on 2/28/16. I liked that piece. Bring her to Kennedy Center please

It was NOT produced by Ardani, Ardani holds author's rights for woman in the room only

I wish BAM included into printed programs what UL requested written on BAM (full) website
As Plisetskaya being one of "Stars of Russian Ballet" -program shown at Yale. The extended Yale program was split into 2 nights at request of BAM to show 2 slightly different programs. She and hervciach prepared two non-iverlapping programs (dying swan being a gift). UL had no control over printed program. Her representative provided ALL detailed infor to BAM and tour management (so you saw credits to dancers at least) bur was only shown a printed program a couple of hours before it went to print
Dedecation to Plusetskaya was not UL idea. She did and does the best inder circumstances

Why wouldn't you voice these concerns to the acting director Mr.Fateev? Suit-case deco and casting choices?
The original programs' sequences with their logical narative progression of numbers, with enhancing colorful projected decorations& supporting historical puctures of dancers who originated or famed the pieces, was developed & designed by Uliana and her coach Irina Chistiakova.
What and how it's shown at Bam is "what's left over"
The artists and the original creators of programs (B&D) did their best under curcumstances
-
It was Osmolkina debut in Sheherezade and Sergeev's in Blue bird
-
Carmen Suite corpse was not from Mariinsky (it was told). Yakobson and they just learned the piece
The BAM press office seemed collecting the leads' names at least
-
The Leads in Carmen Suite, besides Vishneva
Ivan Oskorbin-jose, alwxandra Iossifidi-Fate, Alexander Sergeev-toreodor, Roman Belyakov-Corehidor(?soelling)
Asaben, Kamalova, Martiniuk-tobacco girls

Had it been a different cast i would visit, but not this one
-
Tickets start from $35
You can see much from the balcony
Uliana and her team would be asked to dance as much as possible in the center of stage so that even from mist side seats one can see all
I would HIGHLY recommend (at least one of) Uliana's nights
-
Lafemme if you keep your 25th ticket you'd see a Carmen with Diana and (only 3-4 min) dying swan with Uliana. As per BAM's web-site 26&28 will provide lots of classical excerpts
-
As per Diana Vishneva website, she'd dance Carmen (suite) on 25th and Carmen (suite) and Wiman in a room on 27th

Last link.

I'd say as per her husband's facebook page she still dances. Mist recently in panama.

Please use the regular sites for reference, the mobile versions had truncated (& as such incorrect headers for) programs. BAM is said to be correcting it though.

My two cents-the message of this gala is not clear-IS it for the benefit of Romanian ballet? or a mere gala organized by Alina? The poster itself doesn't mention any aspect of fund-raising or benefiting

BAM updated programs for Feb 26&28. Two very different programs, all classical pieces, with lots of dancing from Uliana. 26th may get additional pieces. Enjoy!!!!
