Right of Spring was not really my taste but I agree it was a bold choice expertly performed. Maria-Angeles Llamas and Tina Martin were especially impressive in that one. One thing I like about the company is the variety of styles it tackles. Perhaps that's why my favorite shows are the mixed bills. I thought the season-ending mixed bill at the Eissey was as enjoyable a performance as I've seen. Super Straight, The Envelope, and From Far Away were my favorites, but I liked the whole thing.
Great website! I agree with Bart's that this was an especially strong season for Ballet Florida. (Full disclosure, my sister, Stephanie Rapp, is a member of the company). I'm looking forward to next season, particularly the debut of Jerry Opdeneker's new piece at the Eissey.
