  1. The PM never gets it right. Promotions are received, not always on merit. Look at his favorites As for Tess she is lucky and does well. What about the numbers in corps Many have been there since they were 8 years old. Too bad the Company hasn't a Union where problems of dancers could be fairly talked over and fairly judged. One Dane with a willing star-struck board answers few questions because there are none.
  2. Michael's excellent review is on target. After months and months of pre-opening Romeo and Juliet hype by Peter Martins, Romeo and Juliet has come a cropper. Of course we value all the dancers however Martins can not claim any responsibility for their ability. He did not teach them how to dance. Too bad he didn't ask them what Romeo and Juliet was all about.
  3. Frankly, looking forward to seeing much more of Glenn Keenan. Having been aware of her since she began; soloing in countless progams, enjoying working hard , always improving her technique. Her stage presence is electrifying; you always know when she arrives . Her dancing is inspired by her intelligence and warmth.
  4. I wonder if the photos are from the book "Quarry: A Collection in Lieu of Memoirs of Lincoln Kirstein." Suggest a reading in April 16, 2007 regarding Lincoln Kirstein; his complex life, his grand ego, (he installed the "fantastic overscaled Nadelman sculpture" , of himself on the NYCB theatre promenade). No matter how long and how hard Kirston tried, he confesses to never being close to Bal,, Read it!
  5. "his ardent and staunch support for Balanchine never wavers, and for that I will always respect him." AMEN Martins has little interest in dancers of intelligence, only in their being thin to the point of skin a shade of blue plus a worship of him as being his self titled "chief in chief blah blah", which Balanchine would never have approved. OH, where are you, Damion??????? Do something.... We will help you.....Honestly.
  6. In today's vernacular, these kids are "to die for". Thank you Ms Winger and Oberon for calling attention to a couple of winners!! Bless them always.
  7. Does she look like her, emote like her, have PM.'s backward glance at her? Don't tell me she can actually dance like Ms Kistler. No, she does not remind me of Darci Kistler, and it is very possible Ms Kistler might question that assumption too.
