  1. I can't access the ew site above. However, I got Roger Ebert's comments last night on TV. He listed The Company on the most "overlooked" films and gave it a thumbs up. He gave positive comments on Neve's performance ( incidentally, I luved Party of 5). He suggested that Altman took an arrogant approach to the film in that he didn't bother to give it much of a plot-Leading ebert to believe that Altman is enthralled with the world of dance so much that he didn't think the movie needed a plot. I think his bottom line was it could have been great if it had both.
  2. Wishing Wendy Whelan a full recovery. Those boots don't work. You have to keep the weight off with crutches until its fully healed. If your toe turns in its very hard to correct. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Happy New Year.
  3. Thanks for the reply Liebs. It still would have been neat to be there. Congratulations to Meg & DeLuz on their first try. Maybe Santa will bring me some tickets for around New Year's;)
  4. Well Oberon, did Meg dance today ? Any idea what is going on with McBrearty?
  5. Wishing Meg Fairchild all the best the today in her SPF debut!
  6. I think you all covered it well except to mention that it was on the Angelina Ballerina float. The SAB girls were cute as buttons. "There is no better time to leave the crowded stores and piles of wrapping paper behind than Saturday, November 29 at 8:00pm and Sunday, November 30 at 5:00pm, when good seats are still available to renew this holiday tradition for yourself--
  7. It was lovely. (Even if Tom couldn't jump high enough to meet Janie on the wall at the very end.;)
  8. Were there any announcements about departures or dancer promotions?
  9. For the 3rd or 4th ring, binoculars are a must even with 20/20 vision. Otherwise I think you lose alot of the details that separate an international dance group from a local one.
  10. Wendy and Nilas Speaking of Wendy, here's an uncommon site, no? How often were these two paired up in NYCB?
  11. Thanks for the reply Alexandra. I just saw the elusive muse which has Paul M. in it. That was much better than I imagined it would be. I'm surprised there was so much footage of Suzanne in the earlier years. I saw a small piece of this once before but finally got to see the whole thing tonight. It was very interesting. So what is Helene A. doing now? Was anyone expecting her to retire when she did?
  12. Well Oberon, it looks likes you lost your most memorable matchup for Sympony in C. Hopefully this isn't due to an injury.
  13. Oberon, Speaking of Violette Verdy, she was just in Lincoln Center filming her teaching a Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux. See the link below. . Violette Verdy
