Thanks to you all for those insights into Ganio's career. To my eye, he looks not very different now than he looked ten years ago. I guess that's why I asked about his rare appearance now in starring roles. I notice that he's a big star now in Tokyo. But I'd hate to be a young male dancer at POB and always in the shadow of Hugo Marchand, who is truly a force of nature.

It may be my lack of attention, but I have the sense that Mathieu Ganio is not being cast as often as in the past. And Hugo Marchand is so much in the ascendant that almost no other danseur étoile is nearly as prominent. Does Aurélie Dupont dlslike Ganio? Why is Marchand eclipsing everyone else?
