No one sitting around me tonight was gushing about Voices. The sentiment was, "It didn't do it for me." The other three ballets were lovely, but Voices most certainly did not do it for me. I fly in from Arizona every winter season to attend as many ballets as I can. So far this one was my least favorite. Maybe I am missing something, or not fully understanding it. I truly did not find it enjoyable and I'm curious about why those particular voices were selected. I agree about Alston Macgill - she really held her own with three powerhouse principal women in Polyphonia. She is a confident, bold presence with impeccable technique. Hope to see her in more featured roles.
