oh yes. abt was using our studios and she was dressing with us, and when i congratulated her on the save she turned various shades of purple embarrassment

many years ago, in chicago, during an abt tour, i saw a performance of swan lake which i was told was martine van hamel's first with abt - cant remember who her partner was. she started her fouettes well but they gradually travelled more and more untl she was up to 16, at which point disaster was imminent , and at that point she switched directions and did the remaining 16 en dedans.

love the stone faces on the jury closeups... small note - wardrobe at the kremlin could have fiddled a bit in order to keep the flounces on her arms from covering her face when she raised them in some positions?

I don't think DTH did it. However Holmes did a full length Bayadere in about 2000, and little Idol attendants did the same dance but were dressed instead in gold outfits. Its not too clear in this screen shot but you should be able to tell.

I found this short fragment among other unidentified pieces on a reel listed in Ruth Page's film catalogue and thought it would be of interest to those of you on the board who remember Michael. I think his partner is Cynthia Anderson or perhaps Charlene Gehm
