sandik Posted March 9, 2004 Share Posted March 9, 2004 This animated film has been open for quite some time, and may already have passed your area, but it's worth seeking out, if only for its campy opening sequence of a 1920's cabaret show including versions of Josephine Baker and a Fred Astaire whose tap shoes transform into sharks, and consume their owner. When I went to go see the company, there was this preview, the movie titles "The Triplets of Belleville." And I am definitely not one to go see animated films. But there was something that drew me to go see this when it came out! I absolutely loved it! People were worried because its a french movie. But being that there is barely any speaking, that solved that problem. It was so intelligently done. Almost as if the whole movie was one huge charicature! I agree, go see it! Link to comment

The film is refreshing because it doesn't rely on dialogue like most animated films do today. The music is great and the colour palette and animation style are very distinctive. Link to comment
