Lew Christensen's "Con Amore"

I would love for someone to do for Lew Christensen what Jose Limon did for Doris Humphrey with his 1964 Choreographic Offering when he combined "variations, paraphrases and motifs" from 14 of Humphrey's dances into a new dance.

Or Charles Weidman's Brahms Waltzes, which was also a tribute to Humphrey using quotations from the technique and the choreography.

 

That doesn't seem to happen in ballet very often, perhaps because we think we come from a universal vocabulary.  Can you think of an example?
