  1. From the SF Chronicle June 2,07 "Retractable 5 1/2-by-9 1/2-foot screens and the vivid images projected onto them are part of a sophisticated new recording and broadcast system the Opera will be fine-tuning in the coming weeks." http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...DDGN1Q5C121.DTL I am wondering if the addition of video to the rear balcony and waiting areas, like the bar, will be part of ballet performances soon. Does anyone know of plans to effect this change? The NY Times this week revealed plans by the Royal Opera, Covent Garden to produce DVDs of some of its performances. It is expected that revenue will be increased substantially and Opera in general will benefit. Does anyone know if performances at the SF Ballet are routinely captured on video?
  2. I am trying to acquire dvd recordings of recent ballet performances, priarily those by the San Francisco Ballet. The only dvd I could find with Yuan Yuan Tan as principal dancer is Othello. SF Ballet's webside only lists Othello. Why are there not more dvd's available of such great performances?
