  1. Thank you Mme. Hermine!! He was perhaps the dancer I was most surprised to learn was fired. I was always impressed with his technique, and his "spritely" level of animation. It really makes me wonder what on earth was going on inside the minds of the people making such decisions. (And since no one apparently knows who those people are, I guess we will never know.) I hope that Miami will welcome such a tremendous talent, and wish him all the best!
  2. I would love to see Zeneida Yanowsky (Royal Ballet) perform the role Mirtha. Or Don Q ppd with her brother Yury... Johan Kobborg doing "Flower Festival" or something else Bournonville would be a treat!
  3. Wow! That is great news! (One tiny bit of good news amidst the chaos) But I am really curious to know where dancers like Sasha Koltun, Misha Ilyin, and all the others will be going. And I have also heard that all of the second company was let go too. Any information regarding this???
  4. I know that this is a bit late, but I was able to see a performance of Beauty, and it was wonderful! It really showed the depth of talent within the company. And I think that the dancers should be very proud, because obviously there was a lot of emotional turmoil. Bravo!! And I can't help but wonder if anyone else was as amazed as I was with Mikhail Ilyin performing Blue Bird; it was truly breathtaking. How sad that he will not be around next year-- he would have made a fabulous Puck in "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Oh well, just another decision that makes no sense...
  5. Does anyone know where the dancers who were fired from Boston Ballet will be going? They are all very talented, and it would be a shame if they couldn't find jobs..
