Moore was outstanding in last year's Mopey. I wish I liked State of Darkness as much as I did that piece.

I agree that he was outstanding, but the piece -- not so much. I'll reprint my Saturday post-performance comments here, if that's ok:

I quite enjoyed "Rubies" and "Symphony in Three Movements" but had trouble enduring "State of Darkness." Am I the only one out there who feels this way? I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts, Ballet Talk members. http://www.artdish.com/ubbcgi-bin/ultimate...39&t=000275

Great discussion, people. I am fascinated by the way the casting can change aspects of the story. I attended the opening night performance and went back Saturday to see Patricia Barker.
