Solitude is a masterpiece. The London audience would love it as well, but I guess renting a full orchestra is cost prohibitive.

Full orchestra!! Wendy and Jon came out front. Said there are 200 alumni in the house! Lots of glamour.

I love this production. I wish NYCB would pick it up. It’s so beautiful and delightfully charming, and there are many soloist roles. I think it would sell very well.

Ulbrecht expertly partnered Woodward in a rollicking Voices of Spring. Ball was her partner in the final waltz. The drama continued when Woodward lost one shoe downstage right. It remained for a time as the mad waltzers seemed oblivious to an impending collision. It was unceremoniously kicked to the wings as Woodward carried on, bare toes visible. It was a wonderful and memorable performance.💐🥰

Fathom Events has cancelled the upcoming Bolshoi in Cinema broadcasts of Swan Lake and The Pharaoh’s Daughter.

What a nightmare. 3 hours of trying and I was able to get front row O for both Maria and Gonzo so all is forgiven.

I was happy to have bought tickets on line by 1215 today until I received the 30% off email at 4pm. It really is maddening but if I call tomorrow to complain, I'll feel worse. They really have to do a little better.

Strand Bookstore in NY had several reviewer copies for half price. I bought one last week for $17.50. It's beautiful - very detailed, 500 pages, 2 sections of photographs. I checked on line - they are still showing available copies for pick-up or mail delivery.

I bought front row tickets to all of Sarah's starring performances. So excited to see her.

Me too. I have Hyltin, Fairchild, and Peck. Now I want to see the others as well. With regard this production, it's all about the dancers and the music. It's like the life lessons in The Godfather. "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in."

OMG (as the kids say.) They do have Dolin's Pas de Quatre. I would cast Part, Vishneva, Abrera, and Lane. Oops, too late.

It has always bothered me that there is no catalog or listing of their Repertory. The company has such an impressive legacy and yet the Company History section is one page and one picture from 1947. Nice to see Jerome Robbins though!

Yes, her final performance was Giselle, partnered by her husband, Nicholas LaRiche. They announced it ahead of time and had several flower presentations. That 2012 tour visit was a marvelous gift - wish they were presenting similar programing this year.
