  1. Diana Vishneva to Participate in School Visit with First Lady Michelle Obama and Russia's First Lady Svetlana Medvedeva Exciting news, everybody. Diana has been invited to participate with US First Lady Michelle Obama and Russia's First Lady Svetlana Medvedeva in a visit tomorrow (June 24th) to the Duke Ellington School for the Arts in Washington, DC. The Duke Ellington school is the Washington area's most prestigious public school for the arts. Diana will be on hand to greet First Lady Obama and First Lady Medvedeva upon their arrival, and then sit with them during a dance and music performance by the students. Following the performance, Diana will remain at the school to speak to a select group of students and answer their questions about dance, the arts, her own career, and the students' other interests. Diana danced "Swan Lake" with David Hallberg and Sascha Radetsky last night at the Met, and will travel down to Washington today. As always, you can keep up on Diana's latest activities on her official page on Facebook. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Diana-Vishneva/416638053237
  2. Russia's NTV carried a very nice report today in advance of tonight's sold-out performance by the Mariinsky of "Anna Karenina." The three-and-a-half minute video (in Russian language) includes reports on the staging and rehearsal, as well as comments from Diana Vishneva and Alexei Ratmansky. http://www.ntv.ru/novosti/190724/ You can also read more with some English translations of Alexei and Diana's comments on Diana's Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Diana-Vishneva/416638053237
  3. Tonight in New York Diana will have a kick-off reception for media and special guests for her new management company, Avanstage, LLC. The event will be presented by her digital marketing partners, 1WORLD Digital. Diana comments, "I'm very excited about this, and I think we have a very good support team together that will help to make ballet and dance even more popular and more accessible to dance fans. We also hope to begin making dance more accessible for younger children. The way we have set up Avanstage, we have a lot of room to try many new activities." Diana will be in rehearsal and classes with ABT much of the day, then make a visit to the United Nations late in the afternoon before attending tonight's reception for Avanstage. Look for photos and comments of tonight's event within the next 1-2 days on Diana's Facebook page.
