koshka_jete
I was wondering if anyone has read or heard of the book "Pas de Deux" by Nikolai Serebrennikov, edited by Marian Hososko? Its a textbook for technique in the vaganova method. I recieved the book this evening and it looks quite thorough and good; however I have only flipped through it because I just got home from class... Link to comment
Andrei
This is a book about technique skills for partnering and which method dancer was study before doesn't matter at all. It can help teachers and students to understand the basic requirements for pas de deux's work, but don't forget, you can study ballet just in the studio, guided by the teacher, don't try it alone . Mel Johnson
I find it a rather useful work, and besides, Ballet Talkers can enjoy the pictures of Andrei (and partners) in the illustrations section. ;) Link to comment
kirovgal
Does anyone know where I could obtain a copy of that book? It would have to be online, not too many good bookstores where I live. Link to comment
