Freidan Parker, co-founder of the Colorado Ballet has died at age 77. The cause of death was an e-coli infection, but authorities say the bacteria's strain was different than the one associated with the recent national ground beef recall. They are attempting to determine how she contracted the infection.
Lillian Covillo and Freidan Parker co-founded the Colorado Ballet as the Colorado Concert Ballet in 1961.
A Public celebration of Parker's life is scheduled next month.
