Roma
Thank you, Alexandra:) A slight change: Matvienko will have to be replaced in Jewels. He has left the Kirov to join the Dutch National Ballet. I only hope that that's the only "major" cast change will see:) Link to comment
Kevin Ng
Yes, it's a great pity that Denis Matvienko has left the Kirov after slightly over a year. I am lucky to have seen him once, in Cinderella on the opening night of the Maryinsky Festival in March. He's such a stylish dancer full of promise. Link to comment
Morris Neighbor
A brief note on the Lincoln Center Festival. Ticket orders will be filled immediately if you order more than one event -- e.g., the Kirov, plus one more. Coincident with the Kirov engagement are the New York premier of a Chinese-American chamber opera, the Japanese production of Stephen Sondheim's "Pacific Overtures" and other events; details on the website or in the free borchure. Orders for the Kirov alone will not be filled until June 10th, so buyers willing to venture into the eclectic stew will get better seats. Alas, no discount, but a free CD gets thrown in. Leigh Witchel
You can in fact order tickets only to the Kirov and get them now. You just need to order at least two separate dates. I ordered four Kirov tickets last week and my order was filled immediately. Link to comment
Morris Neighbor
Leigh - Thanks for the clarification. The brochure I have is ambiguous on what constitutes an "event." Link to comment
