Talent runs deep through all levels of the San Francisco Ballet roster right now, and city ballet lovers find ourselves in that oddly enviable situation in which the opening night or "first" cast of a given piece is usually not the most interesting.
It happened again with Jerome Robbins' "Dances at a Gathering" this month.
