sandik
The Dance Heritage Coalition has just completed a big project to improve access to "hidden collections" -- dance archive materials in various locations around the country (including the Newberry, the Library of Congress, Jacob's Pillow, American Dance Festival and NYPL, of course.) They've created a single portal to multiple finding aids (internal tools that archives use to organize the contents of a particular collection) -- nowadays, these are electronic databases, but are often only searchable at the institution itself. I've only just started rummaging around, but it's some juicy, juicy stuff! Link to comment
