In the NYTimes:

Situation (per usual w. Bolshoi stories) may be murky but from the above article: "On Saturday morning, Interfax cited a hospital spokesperson as saying, 'His condition is serious, he is in coronary care.'"

(As best I can tell Kaufman's tweet is from ca 16 hours before I am typing these words; The Times tweeted its story about an hour after the Kaufman tweet....)

To make sense of information by the Russian press agencies is not easy sometimes.

At midday the INTERFAX agency had reported that the condition of the artistic director of the Bolshoi Ballet Sergei Filin remains serious and he is kept in intensive care:

Two hours later ITAR-TASS reported that Sergei Filin had been discharged from the hospital.

“He is making his way to the Theatre for work”, said the Bolshoi Theatre’s press officer Katerina Novikova. According to her, Filin feels fine and intends to be present today at the rehearsal of the ballet “The Taming of the Shrew”:

Sergei Filin was back at the #Bolshoi today, and looked fine. #Moscow

I've landed in the hospital in anaphylactic shock. It was acute and life-threatening, but I was out of the hospital within a couple of hours, a few shots of adrenalin later. In Filin's case, given how much medical treatment he's sustained over the last 18 months, and the number of medications he's been on, it makes sense that they'd observe him for a while as a precaution.
