Thank you for this information, Joseph. It looks like 2002 will be another 'packed' year.

I have to say that the most enjoyable of these competitions -- among those that I've attended -- has to be Varna. It's really tough to beat the setting of the open-air theater next to the Black Sea beach. Even with the Jackson IBC happening right here in the USA a few weeks earlier, I'm seriously considering skipping Jackson for Varna because the latter was such an appealingly funky place, even with all of its 1950s-style eccentricities! It's a charm that is hard to describe...Atlantic City before the casinos, with seaside estates in need of a coat of paint and overgrown gardens in disarray but harboring surprises at every turn.

Budapest seems to always attract a very high level of competitor. I know & love that city but have yet to see the competition live. I hope that the level of competition is as high this year as it was in 2000.
