kbarber
Five copies of Cathy Marie Buchanan's historical novel based on the life of the dancer who posed for Degas's "Little Dancer" statue, The Painted Girls, are being given away this Friday. You can follow this link to register for the contest and for more info about the book: http://www.freebookfriday.com/2014/02/the-painted-girls-by-cathy-marie-buchanan.html It's also available on amazon. I enjoyed this book, and would be interested to hear other people's thoughts on it. Link to comment
liebs
Thought it was OK - not great. The murder plot didn't really interest me. Link to comment
Stage Right
It's a little while since I read it, but my recollection is that I enjoyed it very much, and it seemed that she had tried to be realistic in 'painting' the lives of ballet dancers of that time and place. Link to comment
