volcanohunter
Between his performances with the Dutch National Ballet and Royal Ballet and guest appearances with English National Ballet and the National Ballet of Canada, Golding is going to be very busy. http://www.ballet.org.uk/whats-on/lecorsaire/ http://national.ballet.ca/uploadedFiles/MediaReleases/Svetlana%20Lunkina%20and%20Evan%20McKie%20New%20Principal%20Guest%20Artists.pdf Link to comment
mussel
There should be an independent investigation how did ABT let him get away. Link to comment
volcanohunter
Yup, and to figure out why ABT didn't do much with Golding during the six years that it had him. Link to comment
Helene
Exactly, or he still might be there. ABT has a tendency to let it's dancers rot on the vine. Link to comment
angelica
ABT has a tendency to let it's dancers rot on the vine. And then to bring in lesser dancers either with foreign names or who look and act like "bad" boys and girls. Example: Jared Matthews was breathtaking in Lensky's difficult solo this past spring season. But is he going to be the next male dancer to be promoted? I hope so, but I fear not. And then there's the exquisite Stella Abrera. I'm still waiting...and waiting...and waiting for her Giselle. Back to topic: Matthew Golding was a terrible loss for ABT. As they say, it's deja vu all over again. Link to comment
