Iksanov leaving Bolshoi

There's an article in the NYTimes today about Iksanov being forced out as Director of the Bolshoi:

From what I've heard, this can only be a good thing, but I'm interested to know what the more knowledgeable members of the community think.

 

(also, minor irritant: they repeatedly refer to the ballet Onegin as 'Eugene Onegin')

A major irritant is the notion that the first "scandal" was the acid attack on Filin.
