scan of an undated, uncredited publicity photo of Valerie Bettis's VIRGINIA SAMPLER, in a reprint copy, showing, left to right: Leon Danielian as the Frontiersman, Valerie Bettis as the Unknown Woman, Marie Jeanne as the Young Girl and Frederic Franklin as the Young Bachelor.
i assume its from around the premiere VIRGINIA SAMPLER with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, in March of 1947.

Virginia sampler - Chor: Valerie Bettis; mus: Leo Smit; scen & cos: Charles Elson. First perf: New York, New York City Center, Mar 4, 1947, Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo
