ABT one-hour intro to ballet for kids

A ONE-HOUR INTRODUCTION TO BALLET,

SATURDAY, JUNE 1 AT 11:30 AM AT

METROPOLITAN OPERA HOUSE

ABTKids, a unique hour-long program designed for children and families, will present a performance of highlights from the Company’s 2013 Spring Season on Saturday, June 1 at 11:30 AM at the Metropolitan Opera House.

Hosted by former ABT dancer Kate Lydon, the ABTKids program will include Luciana Paris and Arron Scott in the first movement of Symphony #9, Sarah Lane in the Rose Adagio from The Sleeping Beauty, Hee Seo and Alex Hammoudi in the Black Swan pas de deux from Swan Lake, and Gillian Murphy and Misty Copeland in a selection from Le Corsaire. Audience members will also get a chance to see an original piece of choreography by ABT Principal Dancer Marcelo Gomes, danced by Thomas Forster.

All tickets for ABTKids are $25 and are available online, at the Met box office or by phone at 212-362-6000 The Metropolitan Opera House is located on Broadway between 64th
