Watching the NFL draft today, I got to thinking, wouldn't it be interesting if there was a "draft" process for Ballet companies!

Hi, balletmor. I'm not sure whether you mean simply an equivalent way of choosing, or the public spectacle of an open forum in which the various companies announce their chosen dancers. In a way the network of competitions serves the former's purpose. The most promising dancers are offered scholarships or contracts by participating and observing companies.

Its an interesting idea. A ballet draft would gain mention in the news outlets. The publicity would enhance interest.
