Nikolai Fadeyechev, born in Moscow on January 27, 1933, turns 80 today.

This television feature made to mark the occasion includes what may be some of the last pre-attack footage of Sergei Filin.

thanks for posting this tribute.
N.B.F.was a really memorable and impressive dancer when i was lucky enough to catch him on stage.
i can't catch most of the Russian being spoken but i don't think anyone mentioned Alexei Nikolaievich, Nikolai Borisovich's talented son.
maybe he was unavailable during the filming?

Alexei Fadeyechev runs the ballet company in Rostov-on-Don so even if he paid his father a visit on his birthday, it's entirely likely that he was 600 miles away on the day the TV crew was filming.
