Apologies if this has been discussed before. The search terms Petipa and Nutcracker are pretty broad.

Do Petipa's notes to Tchaikovsky for the composition of The Nutcracker exist somewhere? Are they accessible to an English speaker?

Petipa's NUTCRACKER notes to Tchaikovsky have been variously published. Wiley's TCHAIKOVSKY'S BALLETS is but one book.
Jack Anderson's NUTCRACKER book is another.
