My Mother is Tanaquil LeClercq's cousin.  I have a sister who is actually named after her.  Our family has always been in the arts. I never had the discipline to dance, but my daughter did.  She was in a ballet school that was associated with the Dallas Metropolitan Ballet.

I love to watch videos of Tanny dancing and when my daughter was on stage I saw Tanny's long legs and grace.  People would often approach me to comment on my daughter's elegance on the stage.  My daughter chose to stop dancing, which always saddened me.  I always hoped that our family would have another Tanny on stage.  I guess I am just a "ballerina wannabe".
