Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, under the artistic direction of Ballet Master and choreographer Vladimir Issaev is a vibrant and exciting ballet company founded in 1997 offering a very unique repertoire and outreach programs to the community.

The company’s repertoire includes works by such Classical Ballet Masters as Petipa, Bournonville and Fokine, as well as guest choreographers such as Josee Garant, Edgar Anido, Yanis Pikieris and original choreographic works by its director, Vladimir Issaev.

I have seen the company. They have consistent seasons, complementing the now almost vanished CCBM in presenting revivals and other important base works from the classical repertoire that MCB lacks. Last time I saw them they did Petrushka, and I took my neophyte friend so he could know such relevant piece. Thanks for the heads up!

ABTF will present its annually Nutcracker run in which AD Mr Issaev "preserves the Russian tradition....as an alternative to those who already have seen Balanchine’s" . (I assume a pro-Vainonen...)
