Just announced on the Russian RIA-Novosti news service, Tatiana Golikova has passed away. May she RIP.

Golikova was a graduate of the Moscow Academy of Ballet, class of Sulamith Messerer. She danced with the Bolshoi from 1965 to 1988, coached by Marina Semenova. Among her triumphs was the role of the 'Bad Girl' Liuska in Grigorovich's Golden Age, which toured the USA ca-1986, a role that she danced on the well-known VHS release. She also danced Odette-Odile, Kitri, Aegina, Mekhmene-Banu, lead in Chopiniana, Henriette in Raymonda, etc. Golikova was the coach of Maria Alexandrova and many other current stars and soloists.
