rg Posted January 17, 2012 Share Posted January 17, 2012 i can't say if this publicity portrait was meant to show Lichine in Nijinsky's full ballet or in the "solo version" mentioned in Garcia-Marquez's book THE BALLETS RUSSES. in any case, here Lichine has his own hair style in the manner of the wig of golden rope that was part of the ballet's Bakst designs and that Lichine can be seen wearing in performance shots of him in this role. as usual, i know little more than the captioning offers.
