There is a popular and funny YouTube video series titled "[Insert mildly offensive scatological reference here] Girls Say."  (I've cleaned up the title for the forum.)

Now there is a version for ballet.  Enjoy!

I love that one, too, Helene.  Also, "That was GELSEY KIRKLAND's old role!" And "[snort] That class did not get me on my leg."  Such a cornucopia here, and so well done!

Me too, Helene -- but it's wonderful all the way through
'Does this corn look normal?'
'Please don't give me a compliment when there's nobody around to hear it!'

I laughed too, but I was suspicious about the repeated Gaynor theme and wondered if this were a common worry or a competitor hoping the video would go viral...  Do companies ever force brands on their dancers? (not that bunhead worries are always rational...)

Repeated Gaynor theme?  I caught one mention, but then so much of it went by so quickly, I know I missed a bit, but ...

The credits indicate that the writers and performers are from the Royal Danish Ballet.  I take the whole thing as self-parody and nothing more.  I may be wrong.

I caught one reference, too, and I interpreted as a dark-humored joke about budget-cutting, which certainly makes sense if it's from RDB.

Thats what comes from my seeing it in several places at once...  Apologies.  I'm going out to buy a blonde wig now.

I heard more than one Gaynor reference too, and wondered the same.  And I have been in the situation where there was very limited brands of pointe shoes offered dancers.
