Brenda Dixon Gottschild's Joan Myers Brown & the Audacious Hope of the Black Ballerina: A Biohistory of American Performance will be released on Jan. 3, 2012 (Palgrave; 370 pp); here's a link to a short interview with Joan Myers Brown and author Brenda Dixon Gottschild.
