Stern Grove Festival, Sunday 7/31

Recommended Posts

San Francisco Ballet gave its annual performance at the Stern Grove Festival on Sunday 7/31. I'll post more later about the performance, but it was a wonderful afternoon. The first part of the performance were two pieces performed by former and current dancers in the trainee program. Hopefully other people can give their views.

I went back and forth all morning about going – but slippery fog and the long streetcar trip out decided me against it. And "Symphony in C," the most artificial of ballets, in daylight, open to the full green of the nature, the green of golfcourses, "the smell of English lawns". But the casting looked great, with young dancers of the company ... look forward to any comments.
