scan of photo of Fonteyn and Somes, likely for a Sadler's Wells Ballet tour of the States, showing a rehearsal of an unidentified ballet.
it's too soon for A BIRTHDAY OFFERING.
one Sadler's Wells veteran dancer wondered about SYLIVA; her guess is better than mine.
all the photo's writing on the back does (see additional scan) is confirm the dancers's names and the date of the the photo's arrival at some US newspaper, if not precisely when the photo was taken.
